As a child the world of sewing to me meant itchy smocked dresses in browns and greens with lots of lace.  I recall my mom sewing on her old Singer, in it's red cabinet, pumping the iron, foot pedal. After my daughters were born I found I needed a creative outlet -- what started with costumes, blankets and teddy bears expanding into wanting to try more complicated sewing techniques.  I was soon taking in little sewing jobs.  Two years ago, with the support of my family, I decided to make this an official career.

When I was younger my interest was Anthropology and Archaeology. I had every intention in becoming a Forensic Archaeologist--this was before CSI was cool.  But life changes and I am content to be where I am today.  Creating fabric art is now my passion.  I love to turn bits of cloth and thread into 'paintings'.  I want to grow with my art and learn new techniques, new to me methods from around the world and history.

Come learn and be inspired with me on my journey!
